Above is a graphic of some of the things we did in the DDA class. We're almost done with this year, and now I will be answering a few questions about this class.
1. What do I consider to be the main takeaways from the material covered in this class? Animation. More specifically, 2D computer-generated animation. Most of the things we've done in this class have been about animation. Whatever we did that was not animating could be used to support our animations, like editing. There have been a few exceptions to that, like using Photoshop to change and merge images or creating 3D animations, but 2D animation has been the main focus. 2. What do you consider to be the most rewarding experiences you had in this class and why do you feel this way? My most rewarding moments have been achieving milestones doing 3D animation. Creating my first 3D model, Making my first 3D animation, things like that. 3D animation has been my favorite unit this year, and I am excited to do much more next year. It has all been very scintillating, and while other things have given me a malaise, like trying to correct my shape hints while doing 2D animations, 3D animating has been much more straight forward. 3. What skills did you learn in this class that you believe will follow you into the future and why do you believe this to be the case? I am not very good at drawing, so I don't think I will be using the 2D animations outside of class much. I believe I will use 3D animation though, as I feel I am much better at it than anything else we've learned so far. I expect to get better at it too since next year is completely dedicated to it.
